National American Miss Walk to Cure Diabetes

Hello Everyone,
On behalf of all of the 2012 National American Miss Teen State Queens, thank you so much for contributing to our efforts of "Walking to Cure Diabetes." On this page, you will be able to donate money directly to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation while also writing personal messages and statements in honor, or in memory of loved ones diagnosed with Diabetes. Also, from November 1 through November 14, we ask that you wear a pedometer and calculate how many miles you walk and report the total number of miles back to your Teen State Queen. I chose to create this walk for multiple reasons: first, to honor and support the millions of people with Diabetes, including my own brother and sister. Also, National American Miss is a firm believer of giving back to the community and striving to make a difference in the lives of others. With November serving as both Diabetes Awareness Month, as well as the month for the NAM National Pageant, we all came together and decided to put our titles to good use and give back to those in need. I truly believe that your state queen does not need a crown on her head to make a differnce, just a crown on her heart. So again, thank you for supporting your National American Miss Teen State Queen and the entire Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation! I look forward to revealing the final results at the National Pageant in Anaheim, California!
