Relay Rutherford is a team running event to benefit Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) that covers approximately 55 miles of sidewalks, roads, and trails across Rutherford County, Tennessee! The urban adventure race starts in Eagleville, passes through Rockvale, continues into Murfreesboro, and finishes in Smyrna. For a preview of the race route visit:

The day-long event features staggered start times beginning at 7 AM and is projected to take teams between 6-10 hours to finish with check-points every 3-6 miles for runners to swap out. You can swap out runners as many times as needed to get to the finish, but every runner must run at least once.
Participants receive a tech shirt and finishers medal with bragging rights going to the fastest team in each category! Winners will be crowned in each of the 4 team types and sub-categories (male, female, and coed). Prizes will also be given for BEST team costume / shirts and BEST vehicle decor!
Major checkpoints along the route will feature complimentary snacks, water, and a celebration BBQ at the finish line! Families and friends are encouraged to cheer at major checkpoints and attend the Finish Line Celebration Party!
You may also choose to "Go the Extra Mile" and set a personal Fundraising Goal and additional Team Goal to help find a cure for diabetes!
