Looking for an individual or team participating in an event?

Run or walk a marathon or half marathon and be part of JDRF’s effort to find a cure. Living with type 1 diabetes can be like completing and endurance event…except it goes on day in, day out - the dietary restrictions, the multiple daily blood tests and the injections of insulin seem endless. With your support we can advance the research that will lead to better treatments, and eventually a cure for type 1 diabetes.
Join JDRF in your training and together we will cross not only the finish line, but also the finish line to a cure!

Marathon and Half Marathon Team Members: Team JDRF has set a $350 (Full & Half Marathon) fundraising minimum for each registered participant which includes a $50 registration fee to reserve your slot (the registration fee counts towards your minimum). Of course we know our supporters will set goals even higher to support JDRF research.
The fundraising minimum deadline is June 5, 2013. Participants must hit a fundraising threshold of $175 (Full & Half) by March 1st and if not received by JDRF the slot will be forfeited and the registration cancelled (funds raised up to June 5th will still go to JDRF research). Participants will not be registered for the 2013 Medical Mutual Glass City Marathon or Half Marathon until this fundraising deadline is met.
JDRF Supporter: Runners or walkers who secure their own entry in the 2013 Medical Mutual Glass City Marathon and wish to fundraise in support of Team JDRF may register as a "JDRF Supporter". JDRF Supporters are asked to raise a minimum of $200.
Relay Team Members: Runners or walkers who are participating as a part of a relay team will have an individual $50 registration fee and an individual fundraising minimum of $250. Collectively, the relay team (5 participants) will need to raise a total of $1250 by June 5, 2013. The team will be required to have collectively raised $625 by April 16th and if not received by JDRF the slot will be forfeited and the registration cancelled (funds raised up to June 5th will still go to JDRF research). Participants will not be registered for the 2013 Medical Mutual Glass City Marathon Relay until this fundraising deadline is met.
JDRF is the leading global organization focused on type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. Driven by passionate, grassroots volunteers connected to children, adolescents, and adults with this disease, JDRF is now the largest charitable supporter of T1D research. The goal of JDRF research is to improve the lives of all people affected by T1D by accelerating progress on the most promising opportunities for curing, better treating, and preventing T1D. JDRF collaborates with a wide spectrum of partners who share this goal.
Since its founding in 1970, JDRF has awarded more than $1.6 billion to diabetes research. Past JDRF efforts have helped to significantly advance the care of people with this disease, and have expanded the critical scientific understanding of T1D. JDRF will not rest until T1D is full conquered. More than 80 percent of JDRF's expenditures directly support research and research-related education.
